Kissing Game fun

One of Elizabeth's favorite games to play is the Kissing Game, and let me tell you, it's my favorite game too!!!  In case you don't know what this game is, it is simply where you give lots and lots of kisses to someone you love.  Everyone should play this game!

I would often play this game with Elizabeth when she was first born with her laying on my lap, and I would kiss her over and over, trading cheeks and kissing her all over her face.  This would get her laughing really hard.  When she was a coupe of months old she started trying to capture my cheek, and give some kisses to me (totally melted my heart)!

A scene that is a regular at our home, is seeing at least one of us (Brian or I) playing this game with Elizabeth, usually it happens at least once a day, and often more.  Well as you can image, as Brian and I were sitting on our love seat this evening, with Elizabeth in Brian's lap, they started to play.  Brian would give Elizabeth kisses and she would laugh, and then grab his face and give him a sweet kiss or two.  I was enjoying all of the adorable antics when all of the sudden Elizabeth reached over and grabbed my face!  She pulled me towards her and planted the sweetest kiss onto my cheek!!!  She then continued to go back and forth between Brian and I the rest of the evening.  Our little girl has completely captured our hearts!

five months

I can't believe that my baby is now five months old!!! How the time flies when your having fun! Elizabeth has been working really hard this last month and here are some of the things that she has now added to her constantly growing list of things that she can do...

~Sitting up
~Standing, just holding onto things
~Roll over, tummy to back
~Move around in circles while on her tummy
~Shimmy or creep around
~Loves saying, "na, na, na" (working on changing it to ma, ma, ma
~Pulling things to herself, or herself towards things
~She now recognize her own name and mommy and daddy
~She has found her singing voice, and it is beautiful!

{Project Elizabeth} Changing Table

Someone in our ward was so kind and gave Brian and I a changing table.  I was so grateful to have this, but I didn't like that fact that it was brown (especially since the crib was white).  So, we got to work making it fit for our nursery.  We sanded it (mostly Brian, but I did help out some), and then Brian painted it white for me.

Here's evidence that I didn't make Brian do it completely on his own, but he didn't want me breathing in the dust and fumes.  I was mainly the one to get him refreshments.

 

 I love how it turned out, and it looks so good in the nursery!

  

 Now Elizabeth has been able to enjoy it, and she likes it too!

The Challenge begins again

Today I started my 40 day Junk Food Challenge again.  After doing it for 40 weeks last year it isn't as hard.  I did enjoy all the treats though over the holidays.

An AMAZING day!

This day started out with my oldest sister, Krystal, getting sealed in the Salt Lake Temple to Jake.

Afterward, Brian and I showed Elizabeth a little bit of Temple Square, and took some pictures.

Then we had the wonderful opportunity to see Marti and Grandpa be baptized.  It was really special, and Elizabeth made it even more so.  During the baptisms she watched very intently as they were both baptized.  Then when Grandpa was confirmed she not only was very happy and smiley, but she would wipe the happy tears from my cheeks.

With the baptism my parents were helping with the refreshments, but they hurried to finish things up so that they could come home and spend some time with us since we would be leaving in the morning.  At some point Rachelle told me to quickly come and see Elizabeth.  I went into my parents room to find Elizabeth completely focused on my dad.  He was just holding her and gently talking to her.  She didn't even notice the camera flashing she was so engrossed.

I was so grateful for the opportunity that I had to travel and see family.  It was great to have everyone meet Elizabeth, and see her quickly get to know everyone.  I am also grateful we were there for the wedding and baptisms.  What a memorable year!

Elizabeth Adelaide's Blessing

Today Elizabeth was given a name and a blessing.  I feel so blessed to have her in my life, and I am blessed to have a husband that was able to do this for our daughter.

Daddy Daughter Date

Tonight I got the wonderful opportunity to go on a date with the only other man that Brian will allow me too (and it was actually his idea)...my dad!  I had a really good time.  This was a gathering for the people that did the live Nativity.  My dad had been invited to sing in the Angel Choir.  I wish that I could have been there to see it, but it was nice to meet the people that were in it with him.  I really admire my dad, and it is nice to know that others do too.

Kissing in the New Year {2010}

I loved it that Elizabeth was awake for midnight, to welcome in the New Year! I decided that I wanted to make sure that we welcomed it in properly. With lots of Kissing! (Elizabeth is still getting used to a time change again)

I love Elizabeth's kisses! They are one of the sweetest things!
