For a week and a half I was able to go to Utah to stay with my family while Brian worked on studying and taking finals. I took this opportunity to work with my mom on my babies room, and visit with some friends that I hadn't seen in a while.
I had such a good time designing and working with my mom, she is so talented, and I am glad she passed some of her genes onto me. We are able to work very well with each other, especially now that I am more direct and decisive about what I like and want. If I got stuck on how the design I thought of worked, my mom would be right there with a solution. She would even fix things that I didn't know how to voice my concern about. My mom and I look at things differently then most and are a lot more detail oriented in our designing. I love that she would know just what to do!
My mom also knows the places to look. She and I have somewhat similar tastes and we are so excited that I am having a girl! She took me to stores that are amazing! I am so excited about my little girls room! I found so many things at the shops my mom took me to that are sparkly, cute, and SO ME!!! I had a great time!
I also was able to spend some time with the rest of my family, of course. It was tons of fun seeing everyone, and I am glad Celeste came home while I was there. Kevin's family was staying at my parents for a while so I got to see my adorable nieces, Kaybria and Julie, a ton. I would often wake up to Kaybria in the kitchen(she was usually the first one awake each morning).
I also got to see some of my friends that I haven't seen in a long time. I had a good time catching up and I even got to see the family that I babysat for in Junior High and High School. The oldest had just turned TEN! She had been less then one when I started Babysitting for them! It is crazy how fast time flies, and children grow.
It was a fantastic trip, and I loved every minute of it, but I did miss Brian a ton. It was so good to be able to come back home to him. He loved the things that my mom and I worked on and was very impressed with the quality. My mom doesn't settle for anything, but the best work!
